City: Pensacola State/Prov.: Florida Occupation: Attorney Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 4 Comments: After high school, I attended Pensacola Junior College and then Florida State University. In 1965, I graduated from Mercer University, Macon, Georgia, with my law degree. After practicing in Tampa for five years, I got homesick and returned to Pensacola. Since then, I have been a solo practitioner with specialties in personal injury and insurance law. I am a member of the Florida Bar, State Bar of Georgia, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. For the past several years, I have limited my law practice to mediation work, in order to have more time for personal pursuits. My first marriage resulted in three wonderful children, and I inherited another wonderful child as a result of my marriage to Melissa, in 1974. Between us, we have 13 grandchildren. She and I work together at my office, where I practice four days per week. I am still active in music. Since 1985, I have played trumpet in the Pensacola Civic Band, and I play cornet in a dixieland jazz band. Fishing is another important aspect of the recreational part of my life. Most of it is saltwater (inshore), but, also, I am a member of a local bass club and fish many of the club tournaments in nearby rivers and lakes. Melissa and I enjoy boating, traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with our grandchildren. Also, I tried my hand at writing a book. In 1992, I published a book titled, "Money Management for Young Adults." It sold a few thousand copies and was used as a textbook supplement in Dr. Murray Wade's Economics class at the University of West Florida. |
